To promote the Science Park, ihub and ENSCITE, we were commissioned to develop a powerful, energetic campaign as well as associated materials. This included a brochure for the University of Derby Science Park, which aimed to motivate ambitious companies to become part of the new venture.
The park’s aspiration is to grow into a hub for the industrial digital revolution, so we were clear that the city of Derby should take centre stage. The region has been a haven for thinkers and makers for over 300 years and asserts itself as the place where literally ‘thinking became making’.
As the up-and-coming Science Park would be a collaborative, dynamic, world-class space, we aimed to create an innovative brand by establishing an inspiring look, feel and tone of voice for use across various channels. We also encouraged stakeholder engagement to inform and shape the Science Park’s mission, vision and values. Our designs incorporated asymmetric shapes to create a bold, eye-catching and dynamic feel, 3D CGI imagery to help others visualise the future site, and imagery of world-famous, Derby-based brands to demonstrate how Derby is a great home for any ambitious company.
Throughout the production process Three Sixty have consistently shown that they can be flexible, adaptable and be relied upon to meet challenging deadlines.
By providing research, creative concepts, branding and print expertise, alongside online / offline media engagement, PR for local / regional press, and a launch event at MIPIM, we helped reinforce the message that our businesses, our city, our region and our University are seen as a model manufacturing economy with a self-perpetuating culture of innovation. The Science Park has helped Derby and Derbyshire write the next chapter in a compelling story of thinking and making, reinforcing its claims of being the UK’s capital of innovation and a leading hi-tech city.
